Please help me welcome debut author – Casey Crow!

CAN’T FAKE THIS coming soon

Thank you, Carrie, for having me and helping me kick off the CAN’T FAKE THIS BLOG TOUR. I’m so excited to announce my debut will be out Dec. 6 with Loose, Id. It’s funny how things work out. CAN’T FAKE THIS started out on a whim. At the last minute, I decided to enter this 10,000 word contest. I’d written spicy mainstream, but this was my first dive into erotic waters. I didn’t win the contest, but after having what I thought was a good start, I added some more words and low and behold, this erotic became the first manuscript I sold.

The story is about a divorcee ready to reenter the dating world. Anna Ryan is determined to be the best “product on the market,” which requires a lot more experience so she propositions sexy police officer Chase Harris to teach her how to make hot, passionate love as opposed to just having sex. He takes it a step further, instructing each lesson based on The Twelve Days of Christmas.

The blog tour is kicking off now and there will be a huge blog party on my website Dec. 6 where 12 authors will be doing 12 give-aways to go along with the 12 Days of Christmas theme in the story. Best sellers & RITA nominees from various genres will be there! Here’s the list of authors: Kimberly Killion, Judi Fennell, Cynthia Eden, Cat Johnson, Susanna Carr, Katie Reus, Ella Jade, Catherine Mann, Desiree Holt, Paige Tyler, Juliet Burns, and Mercy Celeste. I can barely stop myself from jumping up and down in glee thinking about all these fabulous authors visiting me! Mark your calendars and visit Casey Crow on Dec. 6 to win great books and other prizes!

So do you have a story about something that came to fruition but never should have? Something that happened because you acted spontaneous and it changed your course of life? I’d love to hear about it!

  • Congrats, Casey — this sounds like a fun story! I just self-pubbed a novella that came about in a similar fashion. I had a writing prompt on my blog last year, and everyone added their own little stories, demonstrating their style and voice, etc. The little bit I wrote wanted to be a bigger story, so I ended up writing it to find out what happens next. LOL

  • Hi, Casey. Congratulations on your debut! The book sounds like a fun read!

I think we had lunch together at the RWA conference in DC! LOL.

    • We did have lunch in DC. I’ve been following your career and I always like to check out what’s new at Romance University. Congrats on your success, too!

  • Abigail-Madison Chase:

    Congrats Casey….the book sounds fantastic..

    • Thanks Abigail. It was fun to write, but I can guarantee I’m never putting 12 sex scenes into one book again – even if it does have a 12 days of Christmas theme. Talk about taxing the imagination!

  • Good luck with the story Casey! I’ve had books published that never should have been LOL Does that count? Sounds like your blog tour will be fun!

  • Thanks again, Carrie, for having me! Donna, what cool idea to have on your blog. You’ll have to let me when you do it again. Thanks, Donna. I’m excited about the tour. I can’t believe my book comes out in a week. It definitely hasn’t hit me yet.

  • Hi Casey! And you’re welcome! =)

I’ll definitely mark that day on the calendar, sounds like it will be a blast! =) Looking forward to it!

My entire life is a bunch of spontaneous happenings that result in life-changing experiences…lol….. life on the edge! woot! =)

Thanks for posting with me today Casey! Best of luck with your sales! =)

  • Casey –

Congrats on your debut release! Sounds like a great story.

I don’t know that I’ve had a spontaneous breakthrough in my writing (if you discount all those contests I’ve entered with a partially completed manuscript–the ones that give my CPs heart attacks :-)). But I’ve had plenty of major changes in my personal life due to spontaneity, and the last two were around-the-world relocations!

Best of luck with Can’t Fake This!

    • Wow, Kelsey. You definitely win the Biggest Adventurer Award! I know what you mean about entering contests. I was fortunate with Can’t Fake This. It finaled in the Golden Clauddaugh, but normally I’ll have one judge that loves and one that hates me. Everything is so subjective in this business so we have to keep on trying!

  • Congratulations on your sale – I love the title! I’m feeling like an underachiever after reading your educational credits!

  • Hi Casey!

Congratulations on your debut! Love the Twelve Days of Christmas concept! I’m curious about the Seven Swans ‘a Swimming… 🙂

    Roll Tide!

  • Hi Casey!
Sorry to be late to the party, but want to wish you well with your debut release. Like Jen, I think that 12 Days of Christmas idea is very clever.

Lucky you to live in Mobile! I was there in Sept. and I gotta tell ya it is one of my fave cities. Plus, the beaches on Alabama’s Gulf Coast are wonderful. 🙂

  • Congratulations Casey on your debut – how exciting and the novel sounds just wonderful…and hot! Love it! Here’s to your amazing success ahead!! 🙂

  • Carrie, thanks for introducing us to Casey. This book could be quite the stocking stuffer (pun intended…) for this holiday season!

  • Congrats on your debut novel! That’s so exciting for you and the book sounds super fabulous.
