WIP – works in progress.
Or sometimes works sitting on your computer for months at a time while you try to catch up with laundry.
Same thing.
Yeah, I’m always working on something…a bit of this, a bit of that. I recently did a thousand word short story…
“Chrissie.” A sing-song voice echoed in the silence following the shotgun blast. “Come out and plaaaaayyyyyy.”
Christian kept a sharp leash on his temper. There was no way he could win a battle between a sawed-off shotgun and his Glock. The sirens were coming closer. His tormentor was going to have to make his move any second or risk being caught.
00000000000……gives you the shivers eh?
and I have a ballerina one going…
She rose effortlessly onto the very tips of her toes. Her arms lifted gracefully from her sides, meeting overhead in an elegant arch. A small pirouette, touch down, deep curtsy. Hold, two, three, four.
“Darling, you look like a three-day-old leaf lettuce. We need grace, we need poetry. We do not need vegetables.” Natalia’s Russian accent only got more pronounced when she was annoyed. Which she was now. “You should be dying beautifully like the swan. Not shriveling up like the prune.”
ok..so maybe it’s a bit of a comedy too, I can’t help myself…
and then there was the Turkish one…that was tough…
“Melissa, aşkım.” His voice trickled over her skin like warm rain on a moonlit night. “I was hoping to bump into you.” He grinned at her, the little soul patch tilting upwards with his smile, her knees melting from more than the scorching heat that had overtaken Marmaris. “I enjoyed our bump, sweetling.”
Coming to her senses, which seemed extraordinarily slow to gather, Melissa pushed herself out of Nasir Al-Fanari’s arms, stepping back a few paces out of his aura of sex appeal.
“You.” Her voice lashed out at him, huskier than she wanted. Reassuring herself it was just because she was parched, not some unrequited lust for this…this man, she cleared her throat. “How dare you accost me on the street.”
So I’m always tooling around with something…but the links up above take you to pieces that I’ve finished, almost finished, or have every single intention of finishing. These hundreds of bits and pieces might find their way up there someday – so don’t be surprised!
