How to make an Image Gallery – Woodie Knows WordPress
Have you ever wanted to make an image gallery? No? But what about all of those photos you took on your vacation? Or honeymoon? =) Your daughters graduation, your sons first steps? Instead of just a long line of photos, lets make an image gallery – shall we?
First title and save your post. Otherwise none of this will work! Next click on the upload image button and you’ll get this screen

Upload your images, or drag them into the box, then click save changes

Now your gallery will show, and underneath the photos you’ve just uploaded are the settings we’ll need to make our gallery.

I’ve chosen to link my thumbnails to a larger image, display them in random order and have 3 columns.
Next click Insert Gallery.
Voila!

If you need to edit any of your photos, simply go to Visual View, click on the landscape looking graphic that pops up when you hover over your gallery, and you can edit each picture, save the changes, and your gallery is good as new.
Easy peasy right? Right. =)
I’m off and running, Wilemina is making buckwheat pancakes for breakfast! yum!

Wedding Bells are Ringing!!! A Photo Album by Woodie knows WordPress
Greetings my friends! Woodie here with some BIG news!
Perhaps you noticed I wasn’t here last week – =) Well, I’ll hope you noticed! Instead I went on a small vacation with Wilhelmina and well – I popped the question! It was all so romantic – I gave her the ring on a bouquet of petunias and went down on two knees. =) And she said yes! We took a quick trip to the magistrate and voila! I’m now a married chuck!
First, I invited all of our friends

Then, I picked out the perfect flower…

Then, my best man drove me to the magistrates office

this is the cake topper for the cake Carrie made for us…she’s a doll…

After the wedding, we went to the local hall for a party. Here’s Uncle Will cutting the wedding cake

We had some great snacks for everyone…

And we partied until the cows came home..

Some a little toooo much

The following morning, Carrie served breakfast

Wilhelmina and I dressed in our honeymoon clothes

and we took off for …well, the honeymoon location is a secret. =)

Thanks for taking a few moments to share our happiness together!

Adding a form to your WP.com page – Woodie Knows WordPress
Oh spring is in the air and so are massive thunderstorms! I’m typing as fast as my little paws will go…then it will be time to burrow in and have some popcorn with Wilhemina…by candlelight! *wink*
Last week, we added a form to our WP.org site..this week, we’re going to add one to our WP.com site. Ready? Let’s dig in!
When you go to make a post or a page on WP.com, at the top, next to the media uploader is a form button. That’s exactly where we’re headed.

Click and up pops this screen

So, this is your basic contact form. With just this information, someone can contact you to ask a question, leave a comment without having your email address posted on your website.
BUT
We can customize it a bit. Click on the right hand side where it says – Can I Add More Fields? or at the bottom of the form where it says Add a New Field
Now we can add a dropdown box, a checkbox, a radio box – you name it, it’s all in there…
Here’s what I did..

The rest of the form is entirely up to your imagination.
Now click on Add This form to my Post
![]()
This will insert the shortcode into your post. Don’t mess with this code! =) I mean it!

Now when you hit Publish – your post or page will show the form.

Voila! If you need to edit your form, just go to the same Add A Form button as before and your form will appear. Make your changes, then click save.
Now, if you’ll excuse moi, the lights are flickering and the thunder is crashing. Sounds like a good night for a little woodchuck snuggling! =)
